On 6th March 2026, Government Model College, Deithor organised an interactive session with Padmashri Pakhila Lekthepi, a veteran folk artist of Assam on the occasion of International Women's Day-2026. Dr. Dipok Bora, Principal of the college delivered the welcome speech. On this occasion, Padma Shri Pakhila Lekthepi was felicitated by the college fraternity. Prominent musician Rajalakshmi Bora participated in an engaging conversation with Padmashri Pakhila Lekthepi. The event was attended by Mayashree Bora, Kunwali Saikia and Dr. Kajal Saikia,Chief General Manager of NRL.
